Introduces drawing as it is used in design as a tool for expression, exploration, idea generation and refinement. Ideas and concepts will be explored and translated into literal, abstract and symbolic form for use in graphic representations, pictograms, symbols and letterforms. Students are challenged to go beyond accuracy in representation to embrace expression and abstraction for effective communication. Required course for BDes major.
